Her work in urban entrepreneurship has been featured in numerous press outlets, including CNN, TedX, Forbes, and The San Francisco Chronicle, among others. In November 1995, the company was sold to Symantec Corporation for share consideration valued at $560 million. Bennie qualified as a chartered accountant in 1975. He entered the world of technology in 1979, when he co-founded Mission Electronics, which is still today a dominant force in the high-end home entertainment market. In 1982 he sold his interest in Mission and founded Aviva Software, an independent, mass-market software developer.
