Hendrik gained his entrepreneurial experience as a Co-Founder of GMM, a group of private investors focusing on buy-outs of mid-sized companies and gained his operational experience as Project Manager in the Technology Department of Messerschmitt-Boelkow-Blohm (now Daimler-Chrysler Aerospace) focusing on the design and innovative manufacturing processes of composite aircraft structures.
Previously, Hendrik was a Partner with McKinsey & Co., in their Munich and Madrid offices where he led McKinsey's small and mid-sized company initiative and participated in creating McKinsey New Venture.
Hendrik attended the Technical University of Munich and holds a Dipl.-Ing. (M.Sc. equivalent) and Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Edward Kliphuis joined the previous biopharma fund MS Ventures in 2014 and transitioned to Investment Director New Businesses. Previously, Edward was at Kempen & Co, a pan European merchant bank headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where he worked in the Life Sciences Securities team. He was instrumental in the team’s continuous fundraising efforts for listed European small and mid-cap biotech companies in over 20 deals in 2012 and 2013. Edward started his career as an intern / analyst within the MS Ventures team in 2009, before venturing out of Life Sciences to accept a position as trader within a global oil-supply company in Geneva.
