Description

Vinod Khosla is the Founder at Khosla Ventures. He also served as Board Member at Learning Health & Oscar. He is a Co-Founder of Khosla Impact. He previously served as the Board Member and an Advisor at Post Intelligence. He was one of the three founders of Daisy Systems, which was the first significant computer-aided design system for electrical engineers. The company went on to achieve significant revenue, profits, and an IPO, but Khosla, driven by the frustration of having to design the computer hardware on which the Daisy software needed to be built, started the standards-based Sun Microsystems in 1982 to build workstations for software developers. At Sun he pioneered "open systems" and RISC processors. Sun was funded by longtime friend and board member John Doerr of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. In 1986 Vinod switched sides and joined Kleiner Perkins, where he was and continues to be a general partner of KPCB funds through KPX. Khosla is a charter member of TiE, a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals founded in 1992 that now has more than forty chapters in nine countries. He is also a founding board member of the Indian School of Business. His current passion is social entrepreneurship, with a special emphasis on microfinance as a poverty alleviation tool. He is a supporter of many microfinance organizations in India and Africa. He has been experimenting with education and global housing. He is the Founder of Khosla Impact and a Advisory at HealthTap. He also serves as a board member at GreatPoint Energy, MyLikes, Gamgee and Verayo. He is an Advisor at Academia and The Breakthrough Energy Coalition. He also serves as Board Member at Sakti3. He is the Advisor at MetaMind. He also serves as the Board Member at Viome. He also serves as Mentor at Alchemist Accelerator. He is an Angel Investor.

How to connect with Angel Investors in the Cloud Services industry?

In the Cloud Services & Infrastructure industry, angel investors such as Marc Benioff, Tim Ferriss, and Naval Ravikant are significant figures. These investors focus on startups offering innovative solutions in cloud computing, infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), and cloud security. Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, invests in cloud startups that enhance enterprise efficiency and data management. Tim Ferriss, an author and entrepreneur, looks for companies that leverage cloud technology to provide scalable and efficient solutions. Naval Ravikant, co-founder of AngelList, seeks out startups with strong cloud infrastructure capabilities and market potential. To connect with these investors, attend cloud computing conferences, tech expos, and networking events such as AWS re:Invent, Google Cloud Next, and Cloud Expo. Utilize platforms like AngelList and LinkedIn to identify and reach out to potential investors. When pitching, emphasize how your cloud services or infrastructure solution addresses key challenges, such as improving data security, enhancing scalability, or reducing operational costs. Highlight any traction you’ve gained, such as partnerships with tech companies, user growth, or positive feedback from clients. Building relationships through initial informal meetings or discussions at industry panels can help establish trust with these investors. Demonstrating the impact of your technology through case studies or user testimonials can also add credibility. Personalize your outreach by referencing the investor’s previous investments and explaining how your venture aligns with their interests. Demonstrating a sustainable business model with clear revenue streams, such as subscription fees, licensing, or usage-based pricing, will further strengthen your pitch. Leveraging endorsements or case studies from cloud computing experts can also enhance your credibility.
