What is Sierra Angels?

Sierra Angels is an angel network founded in North Lake Tahoe in 1997, and their headquarters are located in Incline Village, Nevada.

This network consists of over 40 high-net-worth families, seasoned Fortune 1000 executives, and founders with successful exits. They focus on early-revenue (seed stage) technology companies across various sectors, including Software (Web Marketplace SaaS, etc.), IT & TMT, Media, FinTech & Financial Services, Hardware & Manufacturing, and Energy.

Sierra Angels specializes in Seed, Startup, and Early-Stage investment opportunities with a strong preference for capital efficiency and an enterprise or B2B focus. They actively participate in deal leadership and also follow others, often co-investing via syndication with funds, high-net-worth (HNW) investors, and other angel groups.

Apart from providing funding, members of Sierra Angels engage in mentoring and offer strategic introductions. Their investment approach allows for both individual member investments and collective investments through Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). Sierra Angels seek out startups with certain attributes: seed stage and capital efficiency, raising rounds that could potentially lead to a 30x return, NV or DE C-Corp formation, and a likely timeframe to an exit.
