What is Randstad Innovation Fund?

Randstad Innovation Fund (RIF) is a corporate venture arm of Randstad focused on fostering innovation within the HR technology space.

Founded in 2014 and based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the fund seeks to invest in companies that are at the early to expansion stages of growth and align with the fund's investment thesis, which revolves around digital platforms, social sourcing, online platforms, virtual solutions, gamification, big data analytics, talent management, Edtech including up- and re-skilling, Fintech, Worktech, and machine learning innovations.

With a minimum and maximum investment of 10,800,000 euros, the fund leverages its investments to drive Randstad's tech & touch strategy. RIF considers itself a strategic asset to Randstad, collaborating closely with various internal departments such as Group strategy, M&A, global IT, and operational companies to perform strategic deep-dives on specific themes and innovations relevant to the enterprise.

The fund is also actively re-focusing from early-stage to expansion-stage investments.

RIF is committed to adopting emerging technologies and supporting the adoption within Randstad. They engage in partnerships and strategic alliances and are open to a range of collaborative endeavors, including joint ventures and even potential full mergers and acquisitions.

RIF invites startups with innovative ideas and business models in HR tech to engage with them through business plan submissions, aiming to enrich Randstad's diversity and innovation in services offered.
