What is E-Capital Equity Management?

E-Capital Equity Management is a Brussels-based Venture Capital Fund specializing in MBO (Management Buy-Out) and LBO (Leveraged Buy-Out) transactions. For over 25 years, E-Capital has been partnering with SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in Belgium that have ambitious growth projects.

They provide significant financial resources and bring a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a deep understanding of the SME sector, total independence from financial or public institutions, and access to expertise recognized in the field of growth management. Historically, E-Capital invested through various funds named E-Capital I, II, and III, which were advised by E-Capital Equity Management themselves. Since 2019, E-Capital has shifted its strategy to invest exclusively in club deal formats, supported by private investors, such as family offices and entrepreneurs.

The investments typically involve initial equity contributions between €5 and €15 million per transaction, which are further supplemented by credit lines (either senior debt or mezzanine) obtained from institutional entities.
