Bison Capital makes growth equity investments in fundamentally strong middle-market companies, public or private, for expansions, acquisitions, and/or recapitalization. An important element of Bison's strategy is to invest in situations where the founding entrepreneur or management team retains a significant ownership interest. To qualify as a portfolio company, a company should have revenues of $20 million to $500 million, an EBITDA greater than $5 million, capital requirements ranging from $10 million or greater, attractive free cash flow dynamics, limited risk of technological obsolescence, and significant on-going management ownership. Bison has a broad industry focus, preferring low technology risk.
