What is London Co-Investment Fund?

The London Co-Investment Fund (LCIF) is designed to support the growth of London-based tech startups. Launched on December 4th by the Deputy Mayor of London at City Hall, the fund's primary objective is to assist startups that have the potential to raise funds but need additional capital to reach the next level.

LCIF operates with a clear investment thesis: to allow promising tech businesses to secure significantly more funding than they normally could. This approach is aimed at providing these companies with the ample money, time, and resources necessary to establish their business models robustly.

With this strategy, LCIF aims to increase the likelihood that these startups will not only succeed in securing their next round of funding but will also go on to become leading tech companies that contribute to London's economic growth and innovation landscape. The Fund does this through partnering with six co-investment partners selected for their proven track records in investing in and supporting early-stage tech businesses in the city. LCIF's investment range is between £250,000 to £10,000,000, focusing primarily on early-stage ventures that demonstrate high potential for growth and success in the tech sector.
