Haddington Ventures, LLC specializes in private equity investments within the energy sector, focusing on transition to a low carbon future. They emphasize on providing capital and strategic support to companies developing key energy infrastructure for a low carbon world, including hydrogen hubs, energy storage, and critical minerals. Founded in 1998, they have a history of overseeing a growing portfolio of successful conventional and renewable energy businesses.

Their investment approach is informed by their ethos to profit from changes in the energy industry driven by deregulation, convergence, consolidation, and technology. Haddington Ventures looks for midstream assets and does not pursue direct ownership of oil and gas reserves or companies primarily engaged in marketing or trading commodities.

They aim for investments where commodity prices are not the key factor to success. They typically engage in deals requiring $20-$50 million of equity with an enterprise value of up to $150 million, but their deal sizes often range from $5 to $20 million with a desired exit opportunity in three to five years.

They manage four funds with over $400 million in assets under management. HV principals were founders and senior management of Tejas Power Corporation, bringing significant industry experience.

In 2012, they closed Fund IV with $347 million in committed capital.

They have curated a selective portfolio, featuring projects like the largest NGL storage facility in the western US and the pioneering Advanced Clean Energy Storage project.
