As a customer-driven bank, DKB makes more than 80% of its total assets available to local authorities, SMEs and retail customers. DKB's business is based on two pillars. As an online bank, it helps more than 3.5 million retail customers via the internet, offering them a wide range of products. And, as a commercial bank, it provides local authorities and companies in selected industries with financing and investment solutions from its branches. DKB primarily invests in the domestic housing sector, health care, schools and day-care centers, agriculture, and renewable energy projects in the fields of wind, sun and water or loans to private customers. Deutsche Kreditbank was set up in 1990 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of BayernLB.
