The Creative Destruction Lab is an accelerator based at Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. The program is best suited for massively scalable, deep-science, technology-based ventures that have the potential to transform our social, industrial, and economic landscape. We provide a unique style of milestone-based coaching with the goal of maximizing equity-value creation. After 20 months, our ventures have generated $130M in equity-value. Our mentors - The G7 Fellows - are top entrepreneurs with years of experience in building and scaling technology-based companies. The current group of G7 Fellows includes the founders of BlueCat Networks, D-Wave Systems, GoInstant, Kik, Kobo, Rypple, Sysomos, TraderMedia, WIND Mobile, and WorkBrain. The Lab admits 25 ventures yearly with approximately half graduating at the end of the 8 month-long program. This year, in addition to our regular cohort, we will add a second cohort focused exclusively on machine-learning ventures. The Lab facilitates investment in the most compelling ventures from the G7 Fellows and a variety of other partners and VC firms, but takes no equity. Additional offerings: -Workshops with star faculty from the Rotman School of Management and hands-on help from some of the country's top MBA students -Assistance with strategic relationships:customers, partners, recruits, and investors -Legal and accounting services from Canada's most forward-thinking firms. We have helped Atomwise, Thalmic Labs, Nymi, Perceptiv Labs, BridgIt, Minuum, NVBots, OTI Lumionics, Push, Neverfrost, ChargeSpot, Seamless MD, and VoteCompass, among others. Applications for the Lab's fourth cohort open on May 12 and are due August 01, 2015.
