Cornerstone Private Equity is a private equity firm that specializes in buyout and growth equity investments within a diverse range of industries. Established in 2008 and headquartered in London, United Kingdom, they are dedicated to providing high net worth individuals, family offices, and smaller institutions the opportunity to invest in private equity funds.

Traditionally, these investment opportunities have minimum commitment requirements that present a barrier to such investors. Cornerstone Private Equity operates on a partnership model, aligning with experienced private equity managers to navigate the UK and European mid-market sectors. Their emphases lie in industries such as Software, BioTech, FinTech and Financial Services, IoT and Wearables, CleanTech, A.I. and Big Data, as well as HealthTech and Fitness.

They work to democratize access to lucrative private equity funds through the creation of 'fund of funds.' Since closing their first fund of funds in July 2010, which comprised commitments to funds managed by Silverfleet Capital, HgCapital, and Phoenix Equity Partners, they have successfully closed multiple additional funds.

Their second fund came in July 2012 with commitments to Montagu, Equistone, and HgCapital. The third fund was closed in December 2016 with £20m committed to funds managed by Equistone, Hg, Montagu, and Phoenix.

April 2021 marked the closing of their fourth fund at double the prior fund size, attaining £40m and expanding their partnerships to include funds managed by Montagu, HgCapital, Phoenix, and Growth Capital Partners (GCP). Cornerstone Private Equity is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, emphasizing its commitment to adherence with financial regulations and ethical investment practices.
