CMFG Ventures, LLC is the venture capital arm of TruStage, which has been a trusted partner to credit unions since 1935, offering financial products and services to 95% of U.S. credit unions. CMFG Ventures specializes in equity investments and seeks to accelerate fintech growth by funding innovators who aim to improve financial services. Through these investments, CMFG Ventures supports the credit union industry by bringing fintech innovations to market.

The firm houses two funds: a general fund focusing on strategic investments and partnerships that connect fintechs with credit unions, and the Discovery Fund, which concentrates on early-stage investments in fintechs led by diverse founding and leadership teams, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and women founders.

With over $350 million invested to date, including follow-on rounds, CMFG Ventures has forged more than 1,800 credit union and portfolio company partnerships and currently has 48 active portfolio companies. CMFG Ventures also hosts the Fintech Forum, a community of over 2,700 peers and industry experts aimed at driving innovation, solving industry pain points, and improving financial wellness by building the credit union and fintech ecosystem. The firm prioritizes investment in credit union innovation and has created the Discovery Fund to address inequities in the financial sector, by investing in underrepresented entrepreneurs.
