What is ACON Investments?

ACON Investments is an international private equity investment firm that manages capital through diversified investment funds and special purpose partnerships.

With its genesis in 1996, ACON has matured into a firm that undertakes investments in a wide range of industries, including Software, Media, BioTech, Business Solutions, FinTech and Financial Services, Energy, Retail and E-Commerce, Sales and Marketing, CleanTech, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, HealthTech and Fitness, Local Commerce, Logistics and Distribution, Material Science, Consumer products, and initiatives focused on female consumers.

ACON's investment strategy is primarily centered on significant minority or control investments, setting their sights on middle-market companies where they can inject $20 to $150 million of equity capital. Their approach is to serve as an active shareholder that contributes to the overall value creation by collaborating with companies' management teams and providing additional resources.

They pride themselves on investing in negotiated transactions and leveraging their deep experience in sectors such as the U.S. Hispanic sector, energy, deep value opportunities, and Latin American markets.

The firm has a presence across the globe with offices in Washington DC, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, and Madrid. Having initiated their domestic presence with the ACON-Bastion Partners II and ACON Investment Partners funds in 2006, which combined have committed equity nearing $500 million, they continue to expand their investment footprint both in domestic and international markets.
