What is TheFamily?

TheFamily is a pan-European investment firm that principally focuses on nurturing early-stage startups, offering a comprehensive accelerator program to founders globally.

Established in 2013 with a base in Paris, the fund maintains additional offices in London and Berlin. They target a broad range of industries such as Software (including Web, Marketplace, and SaaS), Business Solutions, Cosmetics and Fashion, Entertainment and Sports, A.I. and Big Data, Gaming and eSports, Food and Beverage, and Online Social platforms.

TheFamily strategically invests up to €91,940,000 for minority stakes in companies, aiming to propel them from budding startups to scalable, investment-ready enterprises.

Their program entails a highly structured 6-week remote acceleration phase, where founders are equipped with various resources inclusive of expert advice, a robust network, masterclasses, and demo day prep. Aside from imparting knowledge and providing resources, they give startups access to a valuable alumni network and varying perks, such as essential tool access.

The accelerating process culminates in a Demo Day, an online event much like a Netflix release, attracting an array of investors and facilitating thousands of introductions post-event.
