Silicon Catalyst Angels is an angel network that provides funding and support to startups specializing in silicon and hardware innovations. This dedicated group was established by investors, engineers, and executives with a focus on catalyzing the next revolution in these industries.
Central to their investment thesis is the belief that fostering technological advancement and nurturing emerging companies can significantly improve our lives.
Silicon Catalyst Angels originates from Silicon Catalyst, the world's only incubator solely devoted to accelerating silicon-based solutions.
The angel network draws upon an exclusive deal flow pipeline and the collective expertise of its members, who are all seasoned veterans in the semiconductor field. Their insight into this sector is enriched by lifetime engagements with the hardware industry, equipping them with a wealth of knowledge and a powerful network of connections.
This expertise is further leveraged by vetting companies and admitting them into the Silicon Catalyst framework, providing a unique investment environment that was previously unavailable in the investment community. Since its inception in July 2019, Silicon Catalyst Angels' members have invested in 21 companies, with 19 being part of the Silicon Catalyst Incubator/Accelerator, totaling an investment figure of approximately $3.5 million. The network not only invests but also supports startups by offering a boot camp-like environment where they can refine their pitch, understand investor perspectives, and better communicate their value propositions.
They actively seek members and investors who are eager to contribute to the network by providing support in deal sourcing and company vetting. To facilitate these processes, they encourage prospective members to participate in events and meetings to ensure alignment with the network's investment approach and process.
