Kegonsa Capital Partners, LLC, established in 2004, is a venture capital fund management company that has the objective of forming and managing new Wisconsin-based venture capital funds with the primary success metric being investor return. The firm specializes in being the first investor, often with an initial $500,000, in entrepreneurial startups, particularly catering to passionate entrepreneurs who are developing new products. Kegonsa Capital Partners operates with a strategy to invest in people, supporting experienced entrepreneurs as they launch new startups and collaborating with inventors to bring onboard seasoned entrepreneurial management for the development and marketing of new inventions. Although the Kegonsa Seed Fund I has completed its investment period and is no longer investing in new portfolio companies, the firm's focus has shifted towards sustaining the success of their current portfolio through ongoing investments and commitments. Kegonsa's investment interests are primarily rooted in the Investment Management and Mobile industries, and they excel in seed-stage funding. In addition to managing the Kegonsa Seed Fund I, Kegonsa Capital Partners is also responsible for the Kegonsa Coinvest Fund, LLC, and together with partner Sun Mountain Capital, they were selected to manage the Badger Fund of Funds I, LP, which subsequently became the lead investor in five Wisconsin-based VC funds managed by first-time fund managers. This portfolio comprises four seed funds and one growth-stage fund.
