What is EnergyLab?

EnergyLab is Australia's largest climate tech startup accelerator, providing the necessary support for companies innovating in clean energy and climate technology to achieve rapid growth and mitigate climate change at scale. They offer a flagship program known as the Climate Solutions Accelerator, which is open to startups at any stage and focuses on deploying solutions that combat climate change—including renewable energy, alternative protein, carbon sequestration, and more.

EnergyLab invests between A$80,000 to A$100,000, based on a startup's post-money valuation. In addition to funding, selected startups gain access to mentoring, legal and accounting advice, business education, coaching, and coworking space.

EnergyLab hosts a diverse range of programs such as the Women in Climate and Energy Fellowship, Climate Tech Ignite Program, Scaleup Program, and Incubator Investment Ready Program.

Each program is designed to support the growth of startups through tailored sprints focusing on international expansion, capital raising, sales and partnerships, which includes exposure to over 300 mentors from various sectors, as well as guidance from EnergyLab's experienced leadership team.

The accelerator's network also offers opportunities to collaborate with industry partners and meet with investors most active in the climate tech and energy sectors.

EnergyLab emphasizes the value of community and shared learning, fostering an environment where fellow founders and mentors can aid each other's success. The process of joining the accelerator includes an application form, interviews, and a pitch to the fund's investors, with EnergyLab expressing a special interest in fast-growing businesses and those led by female and minority group founders.
