Craig Dreyer joined Ethos in 1998 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Ethos, he was a partner and member of the executive committee of the international auditing firm BDO in Johannesburg. He has played an active role in the financial services sector in South Africa, and served on several committees run by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has served as a committee member of the South African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association since 1999. Craig is married and has two adult daughters. Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting and a post graduate Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Tim is an experienced Private Equity Partner and investment professional with a demonstrated history of leadership and working with digital infrastructure businesses in Africa. Until the middle of 2020 an investment partner at Ethos Private Equity where he spent 9 years. During that time he was responsible for the ICT investment strategy which incorporated both strategies for digital infrastructure and ICT services. Under that responsibility Tim executed investments in Eaton Towers – the first successfully monetised tower business on the continent – and Echo – an asset-light, corporate ISP. An acquisition strategy was driven which saw Echo expand its footprint from South Africa into 8 African countries. Tim also evaluated numerous businesses in the data centre and fibre sectors before his departure. Involved in a number of non-telco industrial business during his time at Ethos. He travelled extensively across Africa and his portfolio operated and invested across 10+ countries in SSA. As an active investor / shareholder he has held non-executive directorships across his investment portfolio as well as being Chairperson of various subcommittees over the years. Prior to Ethos Tim was part of the EMEA TMT advisory team at Macquarie Capital, based in Johannesburg, SA.Tim holds a Master of Finance degree from INSEAD and is a CFA Charterholder.
