Lost Crates is an innovative subscription service that specializes in delivering carefully curated design-inspired goods directly to their customers' doors, on a monthly or quarterly basis. Members have the flexibility to choose from a variety of crate themes, either handpicked by Lost Crates' own team or by their Partners in Design.
The service offers versatility through different themed subscription options including Stationery, Petite Stationry, Angie's Picks and diverse collections curated by blog partners such as Man Repeller, Joy the Baker, Gluten Free Girl, Inspired By Charm, Design Milk, Better Living Through Design, EcoSalon, and The Shiksa.
Shoppers can subscribe to multiple themes and receive a range of complementary items designed to infuse everyday life with a sense of design and aesthetics.
Beyond subscriptions, Lost Crates also presents the opportunity for customers to purchase one-off items from various crates, catering to different preferences and needs. Their offerings also extend to gift subscriptions, allowing individuals to share the joy of discovery and design with others. The company has undergone significant growth and evolution since its inception by founders Danny Levi and Millie Tadewaldt in March 2011.
Initially a stationery-only business, Lost Crates expanded its product range in February 2012 during a relaunch aimed at reaching a broader demographic. Following this expansion, Jack Wheeler joined the team as General Manager in June 2012.
The firm is supported by Sandbox Industries, a Chicago-based venture capital company and startup incubator, that provides capital, mentorship, and support to growing ventures like Lost Crates.
