What is Barclays Accelerator (Powered by Techstars)?

Barclays Accelerator, powered by Techstars, is a 13-week programme dedicated to startups in the FinTech sector. The program aims to address key challenges in the banking industry by selecting 10 startups and engaging them in an intensive development phase involving close collaboration with a large network of mentors, industry experts, and investors.

During the programme, each startup is afforded the opportunity to refine their business model, receive guidance on scaling their operations, and enhance their product offerings to better align with the needs of the financial sector.

The accelerator provides valuable resources including a seed investment of $20,000 from Techstars, an optional $100,000 convertible note, access to office space in various global financial hubs (New York, London, Tel Aviv, and Cape Town), and comprehensive support from Techstars' extensive network.

The program culminates in an Investor Demo Day, where participants can pitch to a broad investor audience, marking a crucial step in their journey towards growth and wider recognition in the FinTech world.
