What is The Faktory?

The Faktory is a private early-stage investment fund operating primarily in the BeNeLux and France regions, with a focus on nurturing and investing in tech startups that exhibit the potential for disruptive innovation in B2B markets. They target startups specializing in the Information Communication Technologies sector, with particular interests in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

The Faktory was founded by Pierre LHoest, the former CEO and founder of EVS Broadcast Equipment, along with Simon Alexandre.

They apply a rigorous 360 analysis to evaluate the most promising ideas and engage with founders through a three-step partnership process that includes initial analysis, indepth review, and investment with support.

The Faktory offers a combination of funding, expertise, and internationally recognized industrial experience with an investment capability ranging from EUR 250,000 to EUR 1,000,000. Showing a strong respect for startup founders, The Faktory employs original and innovative mechanisms to protect founders during each investment round, and provides both human and financial support to accelerate startup development. They place a high importance on the team's ability to receive coaching and accept feedback.

Currently located in Lige Science Park, The Faktory is set to relocate to the city center of Lige in a zero energy building that will include urban agriculture, housing, and startup incubators.
