What is Pymwymic?

Pymwymic is an Impact Investing Cooperative that has been operational for over 25 years, with a focus on building a community of conscious investors supporting entrepreneurs creating solutions for healthy ecosystems and sustainable agriculture. They approach investment with a commitment to positive impact, combining financial returns with social and environmental responsibility.

Pymwymic started with visionary technology investments, most notably bringing Ben & Jerry's to the Benelux region. As early adopters, the Pymwymic pioneers saw the need for patient capital with a long-term outlook and built an open collective to raise awareness and connect investors to businesses.

The global financial crisis accelerated interest in ethical investing, which led to Pymwymic's growth as a strong community.

In 2017, Pymwymic evolved into an Impact Investing Cooperative to make impact investments, showcasing financial returns alongside responsible industry action.

The Cooperative has an Investment Committee overseeing their funds, including the Pymwymic Healthy Ecosystems Impact Fund and the newer Pymwymic Healthy Food Systems Impact Fund II, focusing on investments in the agriculture sector. The team at Pymwymic, consisting of experienced partners, investment managers, analysts, and board members, is driven by a shared passion for nature, sustainable food systems, and the belief that business can be a force for good.
