What is Nanologica?

Nanologica combines unique know-how in the field of materials technology with a genuine interest in solving real problems in life science. The company works with nanoporous silica which has properties that are attractive in a wide variety of applications. In order to succeed, development work is carried out in close dialog with customers. Nanologica is unique in that it is a world leader in controlling the form, type of porosity and surface area of particles of silica. This competence can be used to produce particles that have the potential to solve problems in diverse application areas. The company’s core competency has been developed and expanded in two areas of application in particular: drug delivery on the one hand and on the other chromatography, a technology used for the separation and purification of products on the market and in development. The starting point for Nanologica’s work is the material sciences, a field in which the company’s founder has developed and patented completely new materials. The initial research was based at Stockholm University and the Ångström laboratories at Uppsala University.
