What is HubAngels?

HubAngels Investment Group LLC, known as HubAngels, is an established angel network that has been actively investing in early-stage tech and life science companies in the Northeastern United States since its inception in March 2000. They are one of the oldest and most seasoned angel groups in the Boston area, with a commitment to supporting a diverse range of entrepreneurs without discrimination based on race, religion, origin, gender, or preference. HubAngels has constructed an extensive portfolio, currently comprising over 50 companies spread across six different funds.

To date, the Hub funds and its Members have collectively invested more than $50 million in startups operating in a variety of industries, including Mobile/Media, Internet/Web Services, Software, Life Sciences, and Electronics/Industrial. They have co-invested with prominent venture firms like DFJ Gotham, Greenhill, and others, which together have provided over $1 billion in invested capital to HubAngels' portfolio companies. Beyond just providing financial investment, HubAngels emphasizes the importance of adding value through non-monetary means.

Their Members engage in providing contacts, connections, advice, and board participation to aid in the growth and acceleration of their portfolio companies. HubAngels has cultivated a vast network that includes academic institutions, venture capital, and professional services such as legal and accounting. This network not only supplies a rich source of high-quality deal flow but also offers technical expertise for due diligence and strategic connections for portfolio companies.

They celebrate the successful exits of companies like SyncOnSet, Sandymount, Rifiniti, Cambridge Blockchain, and DraftKings (IPO), which occurred in 2020. This focus on comprehensive support and resource provision demonstrates HubAngels' dedication to nurturing and advancing the startups they invest in.
