What is Dubai Angel Investors?

Dubai Angel Investors (DAI) is a member-led Micro-VC operating out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, since its inception in 2016. Unlike traditional venture funds, DAI is a fully-capitalized investment company composed of over 100 individual investors.

This diverse group includes seasoned investors, tech entrepreneurs, partners in venture funds, senior executives from successful companies, and one institutional investor, all sharing a passion for fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in early-stage technology businesses. DAI focuses primarily on seed and Series A investment rounds in technology companies that demonstrate high growth potential.

They are known for bringing both capital and expertise to the table, aiming to leverage the collective experiences and networks of its members to add tangible value to their investees. This is accomplished through strategic mentorship and the opening of industry doors.

The typical investment from DAI ranges between $100,000 to $250,000 per company, but individual members frequently co-invest alongside DAI, resulting in collective first-round investments spanning from $100,000 to $2,000,000 across their portfolio companies.

Furthermore, DAI maintains a reserve of 'dry powder' to enable follow-on investments to support portfolio companies as they grow, having already invested in five subsequent funding rounds, including two Series A rounds.
