What is Centennial Investors?

Centennial Investors is an angel investing organization based in mid-Missouri focused on providing risk capital to high-potential startup enterprises primarily within Missouri and neighboring states. As a network of accredited investors, they engage collaboratively in the evaluation of deal opportunities and provide constructive feedback to companies seeking funding. Their targeted investment range is typically between $150,000 and $500,000, with a preference for businesses that are technology or science-based.

Centennial Investors employs a detailed investment process, starting with a multi-step screening to identify promising opportunities. This process involves pre-screening by the Missouri Innovation Center (MIC) and a committee of CI members who review the potential deals. Entrepreneurs who successfully pass the initial stages are then invited to present their ventures at a CI members' meeting.

After this, a comprehensive due diligence process is undertaken by a CI committee, frequently with the assistance of students participating in the Allen Angel Capital Education Program.

Assuming the due diligence yields positive results, the deal terms are negotiated, and funding is subsequently provided to the selected company. In addition to capital, CI members often offer ongoing support to the companies they invest in.

The overarching goals of the organization include achieving attractive investment returns for its members and fostering entrepreneurship in the region by providing startups with the necessary funding and advice. Centennial Investors also place importance on community engagement and partnership, which is reflected in their close work with the Evoke Group and other local entities.
