What is Austin Area Angels?

Austin Area Angels (AAA) is an angel network based in Southeast Minnesota, primarily focused on fostering the growth of innovative, early-stage companies through funding and guidance.

As a collaborative group of accredited angel investors, AAA provides a structured platform where members can review and share information about potential investment opportunities. They target businesses seeking funding in the range of $50,000 to $1,500,000, with typical investments falling within $100,000 to $250,000, and a minimum investment threshold of $10,000 from individual investors.

AAA’s investment philosophy prioritizes highly scalable business models and expresses a preference for sectors such as food, agriculture, and bio-science. However, they are also open to investing in companies from various sectors provided they are based in or considering a location move to the Austin/Mower County area.

Additionally, AAA is a participant in the larger Angel Capital Association network, aligning itself with industry standards and practices for angel investing.
