They partake in both minority and majority investments, with an investment range of EUR 5-10 million in equity stakes, with further potential through co-investments with affiliated parties. The firm was established in 2004 by Remco van den Heuvel and Mark Gitsels, and while it is older and wiser, it retains its founding ethos centered around entrepreneurship, reliability, collaboration, and impact.

Their professional team boasts over 100 years of combined experience in entrepreneurship, financing, and the midmarket sector. Additionally, they have a committed group of more than 40 individual investors and Industry Leaders.

Since inception, 5Square has successfully invested in more than 25 companies and is currently active with its fifth fund.
