At Google Research, Kolicich worked on Google Street-Views before and during launch. Preceding Street-Views, also at Google, he worked on the development and launch of the Google Checkout product. Originally from Australia, he has dual undergraduate degrees in Commerce and Science and subsequently completed his Ph.D. at the Australian Stem Cell Centre, having been chosen as a highly selective Premier Scholar. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed scientific journals. Prior to joining Lux in 2011, he received his Ph.D. in neuroscience from Weill Cornell Medical College. Chad Byers is a Co-Founder and serves as General Partner at Susa Ventures. Prior to Susa, Chad served on the management team at Integrate.com as the Sr. Director of Platform, managing the buildout and sales of AdHQ, a unified platform that allowed agencies and brands to manage all of their performance advertising spend through a single dashboard. While in operating roles, Chad was also an active angel investor, building a portfolio of close to 10 companies including Momentum Machines, Locality (Centzy), and True&co. Before Integrate, Chad spent close to four years at Silver Spring Networks, a leading Smart Grid technology provider. He started in Strategic Marketing, building business models for the adoption of the technology by electric utility companies, and eventually ended up writing and leading a winning $15M Department of Energy grant to build the world's first Smart Grid-enabled residential solar inverters. Previous to AIG, Craig was Chief Executive Officer of Cendant Japan, a joint venture startup he founded with Cendant and Mitsubishi Corporation that he helped grow from inception to over $20 million in sales and profitability. Before that, he worked in product, marketing, finance and operations roles at Cendant during its growth from less than a $1 billion to over a $40 billion public company. Craig has personally invested in over a dozen startups including Ancestry, SurveyMonkey, Zillow and Zipcar. In addition, Craig has held independent board and advisory roles with Homestead (prior to its sale to Intuit), Kongregate (GameStop), Logoworks (Hewlett Packard), Netquote (BankRate), and Photobucket (Fox).
